DNA Tests. In recent years, people have begun using DNA tests to trace their genealogy and ancestry. The practice of conducting DNA tests to aid family tree research and family history research is sometimes known as Anthrogenealogy, genetic genealogy, and/or genealogical DNA testing.

Surname Projects. This site currently provides information about six Surname Projects:

• The GOTTESMAN Surname Project was founded in February 2004 and is seeking 7 participants in 2008.

• The PÖLLINGER Surname Project was founded in March 2004 and is currently seeking additional participants.

• The REIN Surname Project was founded in February 2004 and is currently seeking additional participants.

• The WANDERER Surname Project was founded in February 2004 and is currently seeking initial participants.

• The ARKIN & ORKIN Surname Project was founded in August 2007 and is seeking 7 participants in 2008.

• The MERZLANOVICH Surname Project was founded in August 2007 and is currently seeking initial participants.
